Born on 20 July 1972, Shefali Shah is the most multitalented actress in the industry and her recent major role in Netflix web series “Delhi Crime” proves that.
Shefali is a brilliant woman who can speak 5 different languages like Gujarati, Tulu, Marathi, Hindi and English glibly.
She is also known by the name Shefali Shetty, Shefali Chhaya & Shefali Shah.
Shefali was first married to Harsh Chhaya who was a great television actor but later she got divorced and got married to Vipul Amrutlal Shah and has two sons.
From the television industry, she began her acting career in the year 1993 from the show Aarohan.

Shefali belongs to a very reputed and talented family, her father Sudhakar Shetty is a former RBI employee and her mother Shobha Shetty is homeopathy doctor.
In 1997, she was first married to Harsh Chhaya but got divorced in 2001. Later she was married to a great Film Producer & Director named Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

Education& qualification

Shefali’s childhood days were spent at RBI quarters in Santa Cruz, Mumbai. She did her schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir, Santa Cruz, Mumbai. This was the same school from where Aishwarya Rai also did her schooling.
She entered into the B town through theatres and TV by performing a number of brilliant roles in serials.

Physical appearance

In the year 1993, Shefali started her career from the television industry from the show Aarohan where she acted as Cadet Nivedita.
She entered into the Bollywood industry with the movie Rangeela in the year 1995 starring Aamir Khan and Urmila Matondkar. This was her debut film.
In the same year, she was also featured in a television serial Kabhie Kabhie.
In 1998, she got a golden chance to work in Satya for which Shefali received the Star Screen Award Best Supporting Actress and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
After this was seen in a number of movies like Waqt: The Race Against Time (2005) as Amitabh Bachchan’s wife. For her incredible performance in this movie, she was highly appreciated by the critics.
Shah gave her breakthrough performance in Monsoon Wedding movie and performed an amazing role of Kasturba in film Gandhi: My Father.
Shah also played the role of the wife of Anil Kapoor in Black & White movie. These were her some of the mature roles in Indian cinema.
For her role in The Last Year, she was awarded National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress.
In the year 2010, she took the role contrary to Kiran Karmarkar in the Hindi Play known as Dhyanimani from Chandrakant Kulkarni- BasItna Sa Khawab.

Shefali has won the Stardust Award for Best Supporting Actress & Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for Dil Dhadakne Do.
She is a very talented actress who has worked for some popular TV serials like Ramayan in the year 2008.
