Geetanjali Kulkarni Biography

Geetanjali is spotted in a number of movies like Delhi-6, Ragini MMS 2 as well as Court, playing supporting roles.
Geetanjali Kulkarni was born and brought up in Mumbai by her family.
She is a famous Indian theatre actress who mainly works in a number of Marathi, Hindi as well as English Plays.
Kulkarni first made her first entry through the Marathi film “Court” which is directed by Chaitanya Tamhane.
In this movie, she played the role of a public prosecutor.
Geetanjali also conducts a number of workshops for theatre actors.

In the year 1993, Geetanjali met Atul Kulkarni in the school of drama NSD, and both fell in love.
Their love, as well as interest for each other, increased with the passage of time because they were dating each other.
In the year, 1996 the couple decided and got married.
His husband Atul is also an Indian film actor who has worked in a number of multi-language cinemas.
Geetanjali does not have any children.

Kulkarni has done her schooling from Mumbai and later she went for pursuing the course of acting in Delhi in the National School of Drama.
At NSD, she was the junior of Bollywood actor Atul Kulkarni with whom she fell in love & got married.

Geetanjali started her career from the theatres as a theatre artist.
In the year 2009, she made her debut with a popular Hindi movie “Delhi-6” which is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
In Delhi-6 movie she worked with Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor.
Kulkarni has also worked with some famed and top directors like Sunil Shanbag, Atul Kumar, Paresh Mokashi as well as Mohit Takalkar.
In the year 2014, she acted for some of the hit & worth watching movies such as “Court” as well as “Ragini MMS 2”.
In the year 2015, Geetanjali did marvelous acting in the movie “P Se PM Tak”.
Geetanjali is recognized in the movie “Hotel Salvation” which released in the year 2016.
She has also acted in some of the famous plays including Sex, Mortality & Censorship, Dreams of Talim, Gajab Kahaani.
She has also worked with Priya Bahupriya, Ek Rikami Baaju, Twelfth Night, Yoni Manichya Gujgoshti, Mukkam Post Bombilwadi, and Buddhibal ani Jhabbu.
Since Geetanjali was performing very well in the theatres due to which she decided to conduct theatre workshops.
She is also the winner of the Filmfare award for best actress (critics) at the Karma Filmfare Award show in Marathi.
In recent times, Geetanjali has also performed amazingly in some of the web series such as Selection Day (2018).
She has also acted in Marathi Biographical Drama Anandi Gopal in the year 2018.
Recently in the year 2019, Kulkarni has also done acting in Bollywood romantic comedy-drama movie Photograph.

She is part of a professional theatre for the last 20 years successfully.
Geetanjali works for a non-governmental organization “Quest” which is run by her husband Atul Kulkarni.
In this NGO, they help the children of the age group of 3 to 14. She works to increase the quality of education for rural children through different outlooks.
Kulkarni loves singing, shopping as well as cooking.
In order to act as a public prosecutor in the movie Court, she has done a lot of research for a long time and even attended court hearings &workshops.
In real life, Geetanjali also met victims and accused people before appearing for her role.
She is very active in theatres, big-screen ventures along with the small screen.
Geetanjali completed her studies from NSD along with some highly talented actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Swanand Kirkire.
Recently in February 2020, Kulkarni also worked with Yogesh Soman in the Marathi film “Vegali Vaat”.
